It's good to have a range of grids...and some of the sports and entertainment grids are niche too?

Wiz... I agree there's always room for a range of grids on any number of subjects, niche or not (and would always encourage and further welcome this - never too late to learn something new!) - just in this case (like the previous grid #10692) there is a confusion to the answers deriving from the extremely similar nature of the groups - exemplified by two of the connections given as answers actually being listed as clues in other groups - making it particularly difficult to both find and then define connections. In addition, in my very limited (A Level Philosophy too many years ago to respectfully count!) knowledge, I was of the understanding that the orbits of planets derived from Newton's work formed part of the "Design qua regularity", not "Design qua purpose" in Paley's work... happy to be corrected on that!

...and yes Wiz, any grid containing popular culture (esp. Disney, pop & pokemon!) is far too niche for me ;)
