Don't get me wrong darlings, I am throughly enjoying this sweet love-in we're all having, but what did you think of the grid?

It was good! One line a bit weaker , but I'm not seriously complaining,

Let's not forget that a tomato is a fruit and not a veg.

Indeed we must not forget that.

Believe me, I would never forget that (hence my link mentioned both).

For the third group I put alter egos, think that should have counted! Otherwise a great grid, thank you.

Good grid but I was on the Alter Ego path too :-)

Great grid but wondering if it could have been even better. The fruit and veg group is a bit generic and could have been fruits only by replacing the potato with a banana variety say. Note it wouldn't be necessary to replace the tomato as this is technically a fruit anyway.

You are just worried about being missed for a potato.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I included Maris Piper in the fruits 'n' veg round as it's fairly well known and I wanted to make sure the grid was gettable at a general knowledge level. I've been accused of making my grids a bit too esoteric in the past, and wanted to create something that was tricky without being impossible for non-foodies!

Thanks for including me Miss Slinky , it's never nice to be left out. However I do feel intimidated by all the other fruit which includes the tomato. Couldn't you have had say a variety of Turnip instead of the tomato to make things more evenly balanced?
