If you're going to go for synonyms then you should really allow synonyms to be a valid answer. I put synonyms for mental as all the other words similar were already on the grid and you've put Synonyms for mad as the answer!!! THAT'S ALREADY ONE OF THE WORDS IN THE LINE- THIS MADE ME ANGRY!!!! (HENCE THE CAPITALS) as it ruined what would otherwise be a very good grid.

You can't just announce how your characters are feeling! That makes me angry! ;-)
I dont usually bother to put the connections in, so just a really nice, quite simple grid

My first attempt at a grid so thanks for the feedback and sorry for making you so MAD. Personally I think accepting purely 'synonyms' is not enough. Synonyms for what? It's like allowing 'words' as an answer. Granted i could have picked a few more words to accept. Will try harder next time.

Yeah... Just "synonym" is fine - if the solver has spotted they are synonyms then 99% of the time they aren't synonyms of one particular word. And even if they are, you still have to get the phrasing exactly right if you want the solver to be specific.

Synonyms are typically synonyms of one-another so I agree "synonym" is the way to go.
