WTF? Far too niche for me

Interesting and difficult in my opinion in that it straddles the Atlantic .

I don't think this one works because too many of these fit multiple numbers in the 7-8-9 range, so there are multiple equally valid solutions. The game eight-ball is at least as popular as nine-ball, and there's also the fortune-telling Eight Ball; 7, 8, and 9 irons are all golf clubs in the standard set; the Chicago Seven quite famously began as the Chicago Eight; I'd never heard of a straight-eight engine, but in researching it I found the Wikipedia article for the straight-seven engine; and there are probably others that could be swapped too.
