Sorry, not intentional - first grid but.........I would have expected most to know how to spell ice-cream.

Ice cream is not hyphenated, I would have expected most who construct grids to know that - touche!

I like my ice cream unhyphenated, this grid doesn't! Pupils contract and dilate not constrict but I get the point.

Ice cream can be spelt either way. As a noun it doesn’t have a hyphen and as a adjective it does. In this example it would have a hyphen. Not bad for first go!

As with everyone else, would have expected you to either accept ice cream with AND without hyphen, given that one could argue the writing of 'ice cream' in the guess box is to function as a noun, the thing that binds them all, as well as the adjective that precedes them in various phrases. Otherwise enjoyable quiz.

another annoying alleged answer. I was WRONG saying 'ice cream'. the correct answer is 'ice-cream'!!!!!!!!!!!! for goodness sake....!!!
