I'm not familiar with a squirrel called Basil - were you thinking of Basil Brush? I'm 99.9% sure he was (is?) a fox.

Best not to be over- familiar with Basil the fox. It must have been the tails that caused confusion?

I enjoyed this grid but it didn't pose any problems. Like others before me, I haven't heard of a squirrel called Basil. Cyril would be a better name.

I can forgive the Basil fox/squirrel issue, this was a really good grid in spite of it. And it made for a great red herring.
