Scored 4/10, decent premise for a question just some of the groups were a bit obscure.

Didn't crack this one but managed to find an alternative solution to the entire grid, i.e. four different connections which are just about viable, based on Africa, the Caribbean, Island or island groups and Olympic host countries. The Indian Ocean may also be a possible link.

Nice premise but they can be grouped in quite a few ways. Unfortunately let down by the ultimate sin of a non unique solution. Australia and st Vincent can be swapped

Peoples republic of China and republic of China are not two separate countries. so the grid isn't correct. Also Australia can exchange for St Vincent to still form those groups. Nice idea for the groups but unfortunately they don't work

Thanks for feedback, guys - new here so still finding my feet. One comment - full name of St. Vincent includes ‘& the Grenadines’, including as appended to the Commonwealth Charter, as member country signatories. While ‘Australia’ is of course a film, it doesn’t work the other way around. Cheers
