Another magnificent grid. Terrific range of crossovers. You got me with the anagrams - I did not spot these - and there was nothing "incidental" about pierce!!! Thank you for the fine challenge.

Was tempted to include "tenderising/ingredients" in the anagrams. Thought that was possibly a step too far!
