That one was pretty cool - broke from the normal style of clue but not in a bad way. I was a bit blank when I first looked at it, but then ended up getting 10/10 anyway - to me, that's a sign of a good grid.

7/10 just missed the very not-American group. I think I made it harder on myself than it should be (I saw a group that wasnt part of the game)

10/10 Even though I don't watch that programme, managed to work it out after guessing the group of names. Liked the use of homophones in the masculine group.

I also don't watch the show, but there was a tempting red herring with Darcy, and I think it's within the universe of reasonable quiz knowledge.

There is no link between Malé and Mail. Neither spelt or sound the same.
The Adams line impossible. Time for me to do one for you to try on Latin deponent verbs I think.

Male clue was one of best Ive seen here, even if it is pronounced differently for the capital, I still got it as it became obvious. Adams one is clever as well. Completed it within limit.
