Good grid with some tricky connections if not known about. I only got the squares as local to Manchester and know of St Peter's Square. And the Ton group almost evaded mee

I found the squares and boat parts rather too easy; then "skele" not being a real word was a giveaway for the _ton ending (otherwise well disguised); then having another ending puzzle was repetitive. Still fun though!

Some good red herrings. The only thing I didn't like is that "Skele" isn't a word or well known name on it's own. If it is, then I stand corrected. But I think that's a bit sloppy.
