Don't think I'd have got the PM link anyway but would argue that if Lore is being described as a homophone of Law(r) then it is incorrect as adding a lazy r to Law shouldn't be allowed otherwise all sorts of dialects will be allowed for homophones and that will lead to anarchy and a complete breakdown in society as we know it.

Your explanation says "time" can precede the last group, but the last group precedes time.

"Proceeded," not "preceded," so it's kosher. "Followed" would probably be a better word choice, though.
