When designing this grid I originally had an absolutely fiendish word related wall with categories like trigrams that are 3 consecutive letters (lABCoat, DEFy, touGHIe (as a joke), and hydroXYZine), words which are the longest of something (strengths (longest word with one vowel), lollipop, sweaterdresses, typewriter (longest words you can type with the left hand, right hand, and top row of the keyboard)). Words which are the shortest of their kind (Io (shortest word with 2 syllables), luge (shortest winning spelling bee word), eunoia (shortest word which all vowels) for example. This of course, wasn't used because of iouea and lack of ideas. I imagine if I made the grid as originally intended I would be getting flamed left right and centre as I wanted it to earn its Fiendish rating.

Of course this relatively easy wall was built off of that extremely difficult connection. Another thing I was tabling for that fiendish wall was words with unique properties such as dreamt being the only word ending in MT or sestettes being the only word which contains 3 letters thrice, but as you can see that connection is vague at best and impossible at worst.
