Merry Christmas mom! Enjoy the grids! To everyone else, I tried to keep the puzzle variety and quality high throughout -- my apologies if you don't like my puzzle style. If so, skip them. If not, Merry XMas to you guys, too.

Loved it!
(13 years, 4 months ago)

adebisi
what are the anagrams of?
(10 years, 11 months ago)

ConfusedOne
The paired words are anagrams of one-another
(10 years, 11 months ago)

Chimera
Brilliant
(10 years, 10 months ago)

Aidan
"nameless" and "salesman" are not anagrams. Perhaps you meant "nameless" and "salesmen"?
(10 years, 8 months ago)

(10 years, 5 months ago)

Gaz
Nice one.
(10 years, 4 months ago)

Mr A
One of the more satisfying grids I've played. Maybe a small problem with recognition, but excellent.
(10 years, 4 months ago)

ndshy
Second category did not allow "anagram" as correct answer.

Otherwise v v good!
(10 years, 2 months ago)

Fonty
Great grid! Challenging but solvable. I had no issues with definition recognition. Bravo
(10 years, 2 months ago)

Pink
salesmEn not salesmAn

Gbanger
Nice. Makes you think without being really difficult.

The hidden animals is great. Enjoyed that one, well done.

Primrose
Fantastic effort, but is an opinion necessarily biased?
(9 years, 10 months ago)

darto
fantastic
(9 years, 9 months ago)

Puzzle Paws
Great! Well done :D
(9 years, 9 months ago)

MArk
Very cleverly made not too difficult and there are a few errors as you can see from the other comments
(9 years, 9 months ago)

Kenny Lynch
not bad - but no idea why it;s the top grid
(9 years, 9 months ago)

Gerard Mackay
Fun grid but I think mammals needs to be accepted as well as animals.
(9 years, 8 months ago)

Fifi
Ve4y clever and good fun
(9 years, 8 months ago)

jobo
very good enjoyed this one.
(9 years, 8 months ago)

ewcrew
Very good. I found it a little annoying that the links need to be given with the first letter capitalised but I think that is a problem puzzgrid could sort out.
(9 years, 7 months ago)

Robyn
I think you meant Salesmen and Nameless
(9 years, 7 months ago)

die
bad
(9 years, 4 months ago)

AMK
Love this grid! Made me think :)
(9 years, 3 months ago)

Carolyn
What an incredible grid. I didn't get any of them. Very elegant
(9 years, 3 months ago)

Hob
Very nice - only found two of the groups and their connections, but enjoyed it all the same
(9 years, 3 months ago)

Ape
Salesman is not an anagram of nameless
(9 years, 2 months ago)

Darfon
Ape is right and there is no such word as 'fowel' (assuming that 'fowel beast' is intended).
(9 years, 2 months ago)

Dacre
Really enjoyed that once got the Spoonerisms.
A couple of errors to sort though. Animals one had no idea even though I got it from the other 3
(8 years, 9 months ago)

DirkDiggler
great grid apart from having to put the s on the end of anagrams to get it right
(8 years, 8 months ago)

Jon
Really good / novel set of categories. Liked it!

(Small quibble: 'Bowel' has 2 syllables and 'Foul' has one, but close enuf' I s'pose. :-)
(8 years, 7 months ago)

Rob
Definitely hard
(8 years, 7 months ago)

Elou
Enjoyable grid. Thanks
(8 years, 7 months ago)

Franklin
fun
(8 years, 7 months ago)

kevin
just looked at it for 30 seconds, then it started to make sense, very clever
(8 years, 6 months ago)

Gladys
Excellent, but hard!
(8 years, 4 months ago)

SMcK
Very clever - once you get it, it is so satisfying!!!
(8 years, 4 months ago)

JeremyS
Should be nameless salesmen! But apart from that, fantastic!
(8 years, 3 months ago)

ZBJ
Very good!
(8 years, 2 months ago)

North Star
Snot Badminton
(8 years, 1 month ago)

BOBBO
Different, really good. should be salesmen though, and I wish it accepted the singular "anagram"
(8 years, 1 month ago)

Callipygous
Marked as a bad grid because of Nameless Salesman error. There should be no mistakes on these grids.

We miss you abelataha

CJ
I typed "anagram" for the anagram group but it said I was wrong for no reason.
(6 years, 10 months ago)

Ross
That was hard!
(6 years, 8 months ago)

Paul
Unpossible
(6 years, 6 months ago)

playful
7/10 Didn't recognise the Spoonerisms, but very enjoyable.
(6 years, 5 months ago)

revdup
nice idea.
nameless and salesman aren't anagrams (should be salesmen)
last set was clever
(6 years, 5 months ago)

Cylie Bondo
Good one - missed the spoonerisms and got 7/10
(6 years, 4 months ago)

Jon
Saw this rated as hard but they were all fiendish to me
(6 years, 2 months ago)

skystorm
clever but NEWS means North East West South i.e. Stories from all points of the compass..not new stories..Named by an American Broadcasting Company
(6 years, 2 months ago)

Cryptician
Skystorm... https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/news-etymology/
(6 years, 2 months ago)

OATCAKE EATER
Salesman not an anagram. Fowel not a word.
(6 years, 2 months ago)

ThomasT
Great puzzle, but yes, should be "salesmen". Spoonerisms are about pronounciation, so Oatcake eater is wrong on the other thing.
(6 years, 1 month ago)

J
My favourite so far! No criticisms (is that allowed?)

Kenty2407
This is utter nonsense. There are no anagrams here.
(5 years, 11 months ago)

Bloomy
Very clever but very very hard
The anagrams are fiendish
(5 years, 11 months ago)

Rob B
Concur with ThomasT
(5 years, 8 months ago)

SimonB
Strobe Aversion sent me down the wrong track. I thought - Strobe light + aversion therapy = light therapy and tried finding similar connections
(5 years, 7 months ago)

lorna
really clever idea, shape about spellings (I understand that the spoonerisms were sound based which is fine) but overall very enjoyable thanks so much for creating, can we have more like this please!
(5 years, 7 months ago)

Atheism rocks
Good stuff
(5 years, 6 months ago)

Calum.
Too clever by half. Bowel Feast is not a Spoonerism. Hidden animals were good and the other two lines worked nicely.
(5 years, 6 months ago)

Col
So so good.
(5 years, 6 months ago)

JK
Good one.
(5 years, 5 months ago)

Zander
So clever and enjoyable. It's embarrassing how long it took me to spot the oxymorons.
(5 years, 5 months ago)

yamhay
Very clever, took me a while then it all clicked
(5 years, 3 months ago)

Umar Siddiqui
love this one
(5 years, 2 months ago)

Shabba
Horrible. Gloriously horrible. Every one of those is gettable by anyone, and yet none of them jump out. A near perfect grid.

PuzzBuzz101
@Abelataha, did you pull a muscle stretching for that animal clue?

Ray kemp
A lovely quiz for word enthusiast s

dan s
lovely puzzle, unfortunately NAMELESS -> SALESMEN not SALESMAN. otherwise very fun
(5 years ago)

Plum
V clever! Really enjoyed it.
(4 years, 11 months ago)

TATTOO
'blind mowing'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(4 years, 10 months ago)

Kuba
I didn't think it was that hard since the categories were obvious. But it was very creative and I do have to brush up on term like 'spoonerism'. Also confused oxymoron with pleonasm...
(4 years, 9 months ago)

yeah
:)
(4 years, 9 months ago)

Ma
Really stumped me and very nicely done
(4 years, 8 months ago)

Logan
be more descriptive in the links; not everyone will have "spoonerisms," but many may recognize that the first letters are flipped
(4 years, 8 months ago)

Alexi
Excellent. Loved the variety of connects. Unique! I didn’t get them all in time, but I figured out the connections and that was satisfying.
(4 years, 7 months ago)

Lottie
The animals one!!!! I gasped out loud!!! Brilliant grid, one of my top favourites!
(4 years, 6 months ago)

Sirmenonot
Spoonerisms, that is new to me! Also the animals hidden betwix the words, fiendish.
(4 years, 2 months ago)

Feza
Excellent grid! But Aiden is correct about salesmen.
(3 years, 9 months ago)

joe schmo
nameless salesman is not an anagram, that would be nameless salesmen!!
(3 years, 8 months ago)

YOUR MOTHER
GERBILLS ARE NOT ANIMALS
(3 years, 7 months ago)

godfarter
really good one, but "things hidden in words" will always be the worst idea for a grid >: )
(2 years, 11 months ago)

jodfu4h
I AGREE GODFARTER also merry christmas!!
