I think "fictional heroes" is a better answer than the one given. I have never heard of Waldo Kitty and doubt anyone who has would come up with the given answer to link these names.

yep. me too, fictional heroes. and i wrote spirits for alcohol, which is what i meant so i scored rather poorly on a puzzle i finished rather quickly.
