Well i got this but it's not really fair to have interchangeable answers like the gods and the planets.

Agree with Larry. Got the dogs and elements easily enough. Knew the rest were gods and planets but too many combinations to try.

to be honest I found it fairly easy. Got the Pluto group first. didn't take long to get the Mercury group. and the rest fell in to place. But a quality grid none the less.

Yes Jupiter makes two links which successfully swaps with e.g. Mars so I make it at least two solutions.

Solution isn't unique. All your planets are Roman gods.

Mars and Neptune are also both Roman Gods and planets so not a unique solution. Poor effort.
