Good apart from one group- I'm not so keen on hidden words where the word is only two or three letters! Almost impossible to spot. I liked everything else.

"John" and "can" are quite culture-specific, as is W.C. "Loo" we can probably agree on. I've never heard the other 3 used in my part of the world. At all.

Hi Tim, thanks for playing and leaving feedback. Not too sure what to make of your comment, though. Those terms are all culturally specific, including "loo" (which I doubt very many people in e.g. North America would use).

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you wrote, but it seems like you're faulting the grid for including words that are not used in your local vernacular. That strikes me as a somewhat odd thing to criticise. But maybe that's not what you meant, or maybe we just have very different approaches to these things.

In any case, it's always interesting to see what people thought, so thanks again for commenting. I hope you had fun with the grid regardless.
