Nice misdirection

Agreed, it's something I really enjoy in your grids -- or at least the ones I've played so far. Haven't commented on most of them yet, though (sorry!).

Two of the groups were really easy, but the Ono and Madder groups had me completely stumped (wonderfully tricky selection of items in the former). It was really interesting to find out what the solutions were in both instances, and fun to learn new things. Thanks!

Still learning and rather screwed up my latest grid. Have to imagine how it will look on the grid before submitting. I had another version of this one with synonyms for madder but had to give up on that line.

dyes are very obscure, george clinton is very obscure, the japan towns are insanely obscure, and the last one could be fair if any of the others were

made little or no sense to me
