First attempt at making a grid. Feedback welcome! =]

Good grid, I liked the parts of the ear, but you used the wrong spelling of Rein. Reign is for a something like how long a King was in power, Rein is the strap used to steer a horse.

Welcome to submitting! I liked this- lots of crossovers, good mix of subjects. Square on its own was a little ambiguous, without "set, framing or steel", but not enough to be majorly problematic. Missing letters are always tricky, especially when it's 4 different ones within a group, but as a fan of setting and solving harder grids I can't really complain about that! you avoided going for obscurity to hide your answers- they were cleverly interwoven, which was nice. Groups were fairly original. Do spell check before you submit as someone will ALWAYS (kindly) point out your mistakes and typos! this is a great first attempt, I'll look forward to your next grids. Oops, my bad! There's always a typo that gets away somewhere. (I'm well used to comments about typos on Sporcle!)
And I wasn't too sure about the missing letters one, but it was the best way I could come up with weaving them together and having an almost-complete red-herring group.
