This is mainly a history quiz but there are several crossovers to make it interesting

This would have been a nice grid if there hadn't been two explorer categories.

The categories were British and Italian - 9 explorers gave plenty of crossovers to sort out - I thought I'd better allow explorer as an answer to stop people moaning - it didn't work

Ha! I know that feeling, Phil! I like double layered answers, more challenging. Don't expect harder grids to be popular- do it for the satisfaction not the stars. If you select the "best grids" category to play it gets really boring, because they're all the really easy ones; people love them if they can solve them, despite there being separate ratings for quality and difficulty. Do I sound bitter? ;)
