Nice ideas, and very challenging, but it falls down because there's at least one direct swap that can made between groups. Scanty and Short can both be synonyms for brief, or half an item/pair of clothing (scanties is slang for knickers), so there's more than one possible valid solution to the grid.

And think all the Tarot group are also associated with Freemasonry.
