Got 7/10. Only sorted the last two groups because Clawgrip, Tryclyde Mouser, and Birdo all contain the names of rivers - Claw, Ouse,Clyde and Bird (3 British, one in Manitoba) - never played any Mario Bros. Maybe I'll give myself 10/10

Ahh, what a shame there had to be a video game based line in there, the other ones went well together and I know nothing of video games. I have to concede that the words fit in well with the rest of the grid though and serve to mislead. Wd. Ty.
