Man this was brilliant! I was going to refresh as I knew it was going to be clever but I’d exhausted my ideas so I let it resolve before trying to see links. ( Don’t read on if you want to try it with no spoilers )
Spell it group was inspired!
I gave up too soon with numbers meaning anything after I looked at the A ones so I missed those clues ( clever on your part )
I guessed there was the ELO group but obviously included the red herring so no joy there.
All in all a wonderful complex confusion of energy based red herrings. 2/10 for me and a 10/10 and one of the best grids I’ve done for you.

Very clever, but frustrating rather than enjoyable or satisfyingly challenging. Groups that included a coded version of the link word alongside words that go with it, definitions of it and varieties. Too many layers and leaps of logic to be doable. The oil, gas, coal group was amusing, but at least two things in it required a sideways jump from that wasn't clued.

There is no way this should be 3 stars ( currently ).

It's OK, if people don't like it there's not much we can do about that lol. I wanted to make a pretty challenging grid, so I understand if people don't think it's fun. But honestly, I thought people liked a challenge now and again. Oh well.

@Heauxbeaux Haha, well I certainly enjoy a challenge and a change of format. I just hope that people don’t mark down on quality just because it’s challenging in a fun way. I often find my easy ones go up in the rankings but unfortunately I think the opposite is also true.
