The phrase about the quick fox is incorrect. There is no 's' or 'g' here. "THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG". This is a typing exercise and is the shortest sentence which makes grammatical sense and uses all the letters of the alphabet.
