Unwritten rule: single letter grids always fail on something or other. In this case, flaky groups and failure to obey one of the basic rules of a grid - each clue starts with a capital letter. Don't mix upper and lower case.

In the case of this grid it is correct to use lower case notation for example for h, planks constant or c speed of light. As far as I can see they are all correct in that sense.

I wrote this grid and I can see there is room for improvement in the way the answers are presented. I will try and change this to give more clarity because I believe the grid works.

Firstly as the poster above me noted the use of lowercase and uppercase letters in the grid. In this instance the letters are presented in the correct way, c for example, the speed of light is always in lower case.

Below is an explanation of the difference between derived SI units and SI units. Two of my groups. The homophones group is my third, and the fourth is scientific constants that are generally accepted to be unchanging.

A derived unit is a unit of measurement derived from the seven SI base units. A derived unit is a unit of measurement in the International System of Units (SI) that is derived from one or more of the seven base units.

I'm sorry if the way I have presented my answers has caused confusion I'm going to try and rectify this.
