Just my two cents. Any book-series that have passed 80 million in sales and has made the author the best-selling author of the 1990s is not "rather obscure." Discworld is about as mainstream as it gets and do not let remarks to the contrary discourage you.

A good grid. I don't moan when Game of Thrones or Greek mythology or soap opera characters appear for which I have no clue. Not every grid is for everyone.
