Nice grid, fairly straightforward but with enough crossovers to stop it being completely obvious straight away. Didn't spot the Mosquito link until I'd solved the rest of the grid. Not sure whether moving macaroni into the other group would make it harder or easier.

This is a great grid. I'm not sure why people are saying "needs crossovers". Macaroni is a kind of penguin, rigatoni is a kind of pasta, and emperor is a kind of ruler. How are these not crossovers?
