American here. I don't love the pronunciation group. Z definitely fits. As for buoy and tomato, there isn't a huge difference in sound. Some Americans say something close to "boy" and "tomaaahto."
Agree with Bee on the spelling for jewelry/jewellery.

asterix etc - didnt accept commonly misspelt, or that the spellings given were wrong.
Also - expresso couldn't be in the Italian origin group - its not a word!
