What's a red wedding?

I think it has something to do with Game of Thrones!

It was a wedding feast where a lot of blood was spilled in Game of Thrones.

Not a big fan of adding a game of thrones reference in amongst otherwise well known, everyday references. If you had a full group about game of thrones, fair enough I just wouldn't know it, but to stick an obscure reference to it in amongst a group of well known terms is a bit irritating.

I'll be more careful next time not to make that mistake!

On Only Connect - the actual programme - there's tons of examples where the group knew the connection but didn't know of one of the clues. IMO you should have been able to get the connection without it.

Red Rum? I've heard of dark rum. Must admit I'm more of a vodka man. Red Wedding was just obvious...

Sipskate, I'm guessing you're not British? Red Rum was arguably the most famous horse in the history of British racing - winner of three Grand Nationals.

Poor grid. Red Wedding is not a widely know phrase.
