No confetti for me - I could see what the connections were but couldn’t them all - and although I’d pre determined a group was “named after a duke” I still blew it - fooled by fruit!

Easy enough in theory - a lot harder than it looked

I needed 10 minutes for this one - but not bad and silly ones forgiven for the comments :);

NY was not named after a Duke. In both cases the duke and NY were "named after" the city of York.

But Charles II and his administration gave the name "in honour of" his brother, the duke of York, future James II. It wasn't named directly for the city. Not a lot of resemblance then or now.
