Very very challenging. I was hunting for other Toots & The Maytals songs. Then thinking Jamaican artists. Didn't do enough two tone thinking.

I wouldn't say that the Prince songs were covers as such. He certainly wrote all those songs, but he wrote them for those artists. He released his own version of Nothing Compares 2 U long after Sinead O'Connor. Can you 'cover' your own songs?

Well i liked it... I thought Toferino had a point but I googled it and he did record it in 1985 as part of an album/project entitled 'The Family'...
Fairly sure the others were all well documented as his performances before the 'covers'.

This was a tough one. it. Got the prince connection and was scrabbling around for the ska link but it evaded me. Totally missed the punk covers though and I’m kicking myself! Loved it. Keep them coming

BTW the Prince song is properly titled "Nothing Compares 2 U". Just being pedantic to make up for a 0/10 score.
