Thanks for the comments all! don't think they are to far fetched. I do know a couple of newspaper editors (they write for our local) nurses is common, tilers are pretty common tradespeople and there are many hotel and hospitals porters. I would agree if the professions had been Art Historians, Egyptologists etc but I think these were pretty sensible and normal.
