Sadly I don't think Spatchcock is a bird it is a method of prep for roasting.

The first references to "spatchcocking" appear in 18th-century Irish cookbooks. It's been said that "spatchcock" is an abbreviation of "dispatch the cock." In other words, to kill the chicken.

Perhaps you meant Woodcock? Spatchcock is a means of prepping a bird for cooking - removing the backbone and flatting it out

I assumed PHEASENT was a sneaky red herring. Turns out it was just a spelling error. Agree spatchcock is not a bird. Otherwise, enjoyable grid.
