Celtic certainly don't play in Black and white (its green and white hoops) and Preston North End are firmly not in the North East of England. Makes the grid impossible when there a few huge mistakes

No mistakes here mate.
I watched some film footage of Celtic from, like, 1920 or something, and it was definitely in black & white.
Also, I went on a road trip to the north-east and ended up in Preston, so that's right too.

And all credit to Terry for his dogged support of Blackburn Rangers. Keep at it friend, one day the team will surely turn up.

Sorry Terry but the complaints below are right.
Celtic play in Green and White hoops
Preston is in Lancashire (North West)
Blackburn "Rovers" (not Rangers)
I am sure there is another team in Ipswich (other than Ipswich Town)but only if we are counting county league or park football
Concept was good but you need to check your information before you publish a grid.

Terry, once again a terrific grid that nearly had me stumped. I did get confused because I thought Preston North End was a south coast team but then I realised my map was upside down. Just turned it 180 degrees and it solved the puzzle. Good stuff. Thanks.

Terry, One point. I think Emile Zola was a trained astronaut but didn't make the Apollo missions due to passport issues.

I think you might be confusing him with Monet... or Manet.... I can never be sure.

these answers are incorrect. Celtic have play in green and white, not black and white. the town of Ipswich only has 1 football team

Just checked with my mate Daz, and all my answers are correct.
