Good. Got the salmon and seas, but not the others.

Strong points were the decent explanations and the crossovers. What this grid lacked for me was variety in types of clue ( believe me I don't think getting it right is easy). The absolute " don't do this" is two identical boxes because they are not interchangeable and with good crossovers the grid takes too long unless you are lucky. Nice try .

Good grid except double Caspian. Red would have been a(n) herring alternative.
