Solved the grid and entered Captain as my first answer but was given incorrect! Answer then given is "Famous Captains "- think one word is enough

Apart from the captain thing it was a really good grid. I think I might just award myself 10/10 and say excellent grid, thank you!

Not bad - the captain thing could have been more expansive as mentioned below.

I happen to also have a coat, belt, a beard and black boots, as I'm sure do millions of others... (btw I'm not Santa). Rather generic grouping in my opinion. As for "wearing" my beard, although this could possibly be construed as acceptable, I would imagine most like myself just "have" or are "growing" their beards, not "wearing" them... As much as you can take them off (shave) you can't exactly put them back on so easily/quickly...

The Father Christmas group is a bit tenuous, otherwise a great grid.
