The group with "King Edward" didn't accept the singular form of the correct answer!

"Salad" is a generic term for a group of potatoes sharing characteristics, akin to "fluffy" or "smooth". Charlotte would be an example of a variety of a "salad" potato... The other three answers were specific varieties in their own right therefore this is an inaccurate connection for a group

Nice Grid despite not accepting the singular form. I don't accept that 'salad' makes it innacurate. If you have an iota of common sense it still works!

I agree with SpaggBol, how can it be wrong to include salad? Yes, a little thought is needed, but that's the joy of the game . "Hot", "Chipped" or "Mashed" would also be valid.

I grow millions of spuds (it's nearly chitting time...) King Eddies, MP's, Charlottes (for Christmas) and Salads all taste good after I dig them up and eat them. Therefore I guess they must be linked in some way or another.
Not only was it a fine row it was straighter than the ones I dig.
(Incidentally was it just coincidence to include the Irish and potato in the same grid?) Nice one.

Apologies one and all, contrary to Blues it seems I could really benefit from a few less beers before posting - didn't intend to cause offence but upon rereading my drunken ramblings sound like an arse! Just wanted to bring to attention a more general issue of "mixed" groups - another "rant" recently highlighted a mixture of car manufacturers and car models... I should have kept quiet, as salad wasn't an impediment to me correctly ascertaining the connection... Keep up the sterling work everyone, and I'll try to play nicely in future...
